My name is Cherie Singer, and I'm glad you're here.

Sometimes life’s demands, stresses, and challenges can feel like just too much to work-through, cope with, and manage alone.

I work with clients who feel depressed, anxious, overwhelmed, or maybe they’re not even sure what they’re feeling but they know something’s deeply wrong or missing in their lives. Others are experiencing a bumpy transition or feel confused, stuck or unhappy about their relationships, their career, their future.

Together, we’ll explore what’s working in your life and what isn’t. I’ll help you identify and uncover unconscious thoughts and behavior patterns that were shaped by past experiences, relationships, and unresolved conflicts. This process will enhance your self-awareness — empowering you to understand more fully and work through underlying issues driving these patterns. And I'll help you incorporate new, more effective skills and ways of being that will enhance your quality of life.

I believe that the relationship between the therapist and client is key — and that therapy takes place in an alliance between the two…a collaborative process. And I am committed to ensuring a safe and supportive environment for the work to take place.

I employ an integrative approach, tailoring treatment to each patient's needs - drawing from a variety of theoretical orientations. Training in Marriage and Family Therapy has enhanced my ability to understand couples and individuals in the context of their overall relational dynamics. I also employ a Psychodynamic approach, which enables you to understand more fully how your early life experiences inform your present behaviors, feelings, and patterns. A Person-Centered perspective honors your intrinsic knowledge of self, resilience, and your own ability to heal and grow. And, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Strengths-Based Disciplines help you identify and access your unique strengths and utilize new tools to help create positive life changes.

Depression and Anxiety

Depression and anxiety can often go hand in hand, creating a cycle of hard to manage thoughts and emotions that can feel impossible to break. When you’re experiencing both, it can feel like being stuck in a loop of worry, fear, and sadness—each emotion feeding off the other, leaving you feeling trapped, drained, and unsure of how to move forward. I understand the unique challenges that come with these conditions. Together, we’ll work to break the cycle to create a path toward a more balanced, fulfilling life.

Divorce/Breakups/Endings

Experiencing the end of a relationship, whether it be a marriage, a partnership, a friendship or in business, can be a deeply painful process that stirs up a myriad of feelings including anxiety, depression, grief-and-loss, and trust issues as well as confusion about the future. I offer a supportive, safe place to identify, express and manage difficult emotions and new coping skills to help you work through the transition to reshape your life.

Career Issues and Transitions

My extensive business as well as corporate leadership experience offers me a unique perspective for clients facing professional challenges.
